Select an Outfitter
Choosing a Trip
The Middle Fork Outfitters Association has made it easy to find an outfitter for you and your group. Follow these easy steps to start the planning process:
1. Choose the date you wish to begin your Middle Fork river vacation. Our date selector allows you to enter a trip date of your choice and it will return the names of the Middle Fork outfits launching that day. You can repeat the process for other dates.
2. Call or visit the websites of the outfitters that are found in the search result, click here to view a list of all the outfitters. Middle Fork of the Salmon outfitters offer different styles of trips and you should contact them to make sure what they offer is what you are looking for. Once you’ve found a good match, reserve your spaces. Outfitters are permitted to run a limited number of trips and many trips fill months before departure.
As you research your Middle Fork vacation, you will find that outfitter trip options vary. It is helpful to make a list of the things that are important to you and then ask your outfitter choice about those topics. For example, if you are vacationing with kids, you might ask if other families are going. If you are enthusiastic about fishing, ask about that. You might ask about the menu, or paddling opportunities, or whether or not the guides lead hikes. You might even ask for a referral if the outfitter you’ve chosen is full on a particular date. Most will be happy to make a recommendation based on what you are looking for.
Middle Fork outfitters share a desire to have trips on the Middle Fork be the best river vacations offered anywhere. These outfitters have years of experience and will work hard to make your vacation the trip of a lifetime.
You can repeat the process for other dates. Another option is to download our PDF which has the names and contact information for all members of this Association. That list will allow you to contact different members or check their website.
Collectively, we want you to have a great trip and welcome you to the Middle Fork of the Salmon: America’s premier wilderness river.
